The Lake Forest Yercaud – Club Mahindra Yercaud Resort

The Lake Forest Yercaud

Light mist rolling over green hillsides, blue skies and perfect weather are just some of the wonderful offerings of the hill station that is Yercaud. Situated close to Salem in Tamil Nadu, and at an altitude of 4,970 ft above sea level, the picturesque Yercaud gets its name from the Tamil words ‘yeri’ meaning lake and ‘Kaadu’ meaning forest owing to the lake located in its centre surrounded by the trees. Yercaud’s wonderful salubrious climate sees temperatures range only between 30 and 13 degrees Celsius. You’ve literally stepped into a nature’s haven as you walk past and take in the beauty of coffee and orange plantations, botanical gardens, a gleaming lake and natural waterfalls. It is no wonder then that Yercaud is called the ‘Jewel of the South’.

  1. Horrible hotel don’t stay. Old charm is something I live but this is dirty, smelly and pathetic excuse of a resort. If I could I would upload pics of the room. Broken cot, regsin sofa, mould littered shower curtain, dirty bathroom, yellowish sheets and towels. Horrible, it’s a black mark for club mahindra
